Dualla Show 2018

Welcome to this year's Dualla Show! It's happening on Sunday 26th August just 5km from Cashel in Co. Tipperary. This great event attracts thousands of people yearly from far and wide with its mixture of agricultural events, machinery, food stalls and kid's entertainment with a very special emphasis on affordability for young families. All this set against the beautiful backdrop of the historic 18th century Ballyowen House.

A lot is said about the effort the show puts into making the day as affordable as possible for young families - our free “KidsZone” and “Dualla Show Train” are now known far and wide! This year we’ve gone completely over-the-top and thrown in a FREE circus aswell! It circus features jugglers, clowns, acrobats, daredevil tightrope walking and a host of other acts. There will be four one-hour shows starting at 1pm, 2.15pm, 4pm and 5.30pm - so there's plenty of opportunity for everyone to experience it!

And as if that's not enough, the famous Dualla Show "KidsZone" is back as usual with a secure and fully supervised area consisting of 10 totally free inflatables such as the Hip Hip Hippo Dome, Thunder Truck Obstacle Course and the Bungee Run! Free face painting will be available and there's also a play area with free toys for the younger ones.

We're teaming up this year with Morrison BMW to bring special guest Chef Adrian to the show. Adrian is a young Irish chef from Cavan who is incredibly passionate about food and cookery. He's trained in some of Ireland's most renowned restaurants including Neven Maguire's Mac Nean House and Bon Appetit and regularly makes appearances on RTE and TV3. He'll be demonstrating how to make healthy, great tasting food from 1.30pm and continuing throughout the day. Not to be missed!

This year's FBD livestock section is again our biggest to date with over 100 cattle and sheep classes and a total pot of €18,000. There are two new classes for Best Traditional Breeding female and Best Continental Breeding female plus a prize of €500 cash for the Best Pair in Show. In the sheep section exhibitors will compete in the usual ewe, lamb, hogget and ram classes with a highlight once again being the Champion Zwartbles.

For equestrian loverswe are proud to be host the Connolly Red Mills Munster Grand Prix competition in addition to the normal smattering of SJI classes. This event has three arenas plus a tiny tots area. Note that all pony classes are qualifying rounds the Waterford/Tipperary SJI Pony Leagues and the Munster Stars of the Future League.

The incredible Surehaul Tipperary Truck Show is back for the fourth year. Last year saw 380 trucks make their way to Dualla and this year looks set to top that again with a host of new categories such as Best Manufacturer (Scania, Volvo, DAF, Mercedes, Iveco and Hino) and there’s a prize of a trip to the Nassa Truckshow in Wolverhampton for the Tom Rowland Memorial Trophy.

The superstars of Irish Wrestling bring their WWE-style antics back to Dualla with the likes of The Galway Grappler and Raven. Last year the Grappler walked off with the Zero Gravity championship defeating Cambo Cray in controversial circumstances! Head over to the wrestling ring from 1pm to see if The Grappler gets his comeuppance this year!

The Pierse Motors VAG Carfest had a very successful debut last year and is back again with huge interest. This is a static show n'shine event catering for owners of contemporary and classic Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Skoda, Porsche, Lamborghini and Bentley cars. Classes cover all popular makes such as Polo, Golf, Transporter and also include Most Pristine Car, Best Performance Car and Best German car. Well worth checking out this year is the new Best Rat Rod class. Prepare to see some stunning vehicles!

We're also delighted to be hosting the 5th round of the ITPC championship. Last year the Modified Class was won in style by the Pride of Wicklow, while the Level 2 Superfarm was taken by Nothing Major while Horrid Henry took the 12 points in the Level 3 Superfarm class. This year is all to play for again with a number of new entrants in the Superfarm classes and a chance to see the likes of Red Thunder and Horrid Henry go head-to-head for the top spot! Pulling starts at 11.30am.

Last year's dog section was the biggest to date with 120 entries. This year John Smullen and Moyglass Kennels are back again with another great show and selection of classes. Check out duallashow.ie/events/dog-show for class details.

And if all that wasn't enough, there will be the regular thrills of the competitive tug of war, monster auction, vintage cars and tractors, trade stands, artisan food stands, O’Neills Sportswear shop and an impressive crash response re-enactment by Tipperary Emergency Services.

The show takes place in the village of Dualla, located 5km East of Cashel on the R691.

Parking

Substantial free car parking is available on site with just a short walk to the show grounds. Stewards will assist visitors on arrival.

Disability Parking and Mobility Assistance

Disability parking is adjacent to the main entrance & ticket cabin with a very short walk to the show entrance. There is disabled parking close to the main entrance. In addition our mobility assistance vehicle will be running all day around the main show grounds. Starting from the ticket entrance it will follow a route with a number of drop off / pick up points around the show. Facilities

A food village area provides a wide variety of hot and cold food throughout the day. Toilets are provided on site (refer to the map for details of their location). A baby-changing area is located behind the main stage, near the kidszone.

Camping

A camping area is available in the community field adjacent to the show grounds. Hot showers and electrical sockets are available in the sports building on the camping site. Entry to the campsite is on the Saturday evening where you will be issued with a wristband upon purchasing a ticket for Sunday's show. Only wristband holders will be permitted access to the campsite from 6pm on Saturday. Contact Killian on 086 074 4735 for queries or more details.
